Braiding has been around for centuries. We like to call this ‘Jellyfish Braiding’ for obvious reasons once you start braiding.
With everything needed to make your very own shoelaces, this activity is suitable for ages 5 years and up, with a little help.
📋 In this kit you will find:-
- A braiding disk
- A random selection of 14 long pre-cut strands of yarn
- 7 short pre-cut strands of yarn (for practicing with)
- A shoe cutout to practice tying laces
- Instructions with video tutorial link
- An activity booklet
- 4 pre-cut heat shrink aglets
- A plastic needle
✂️ You will need:- scissors; clothes pegs or hair elastics; a hairdryer to shrink the ends on the shoelaces; and a pair of kitchen tongs or an oven mitt to keep fingers safe from the heat.
We ask you to supervise your youngster’s crafting since they will need your help using a hairdryer.
