I don’t know how to knit/crochet. Can you teach me?

Absolutely, it’s kind of what we do. You can book one-to-one private sessions to build confidence before deciding to join us for a group drop-in session. You may even consider one of our "Learn to" on demand workshops, where all your materials are also included.

What materials should I buy?

We recommend starting with bamboo knitting needles or crochet hooks and wool yarn. These are grippy, meaning you'll likely not have stitches sliding off. Having one less thing to focus on takes the pressure off. If you’re unsure what to bring, contact us and we can sort you out. We can also put together a beginners kit to get you started.

I don't know what to make for my first project?

We recommend a simple, small project to quickly build your confidence. We have a number of small patterns available that are suitable for a first project for you to choose from. A 5 metre long "Dr. Who" scarf may just take an eternity to complete and cause you to loose the will to live.

I've bought this amazing pattern, can I make that?

Woah! We love the enthusiasm, but just like babes, we need to crawl before we can run. Bring the pattern in, and we'll devise a plan to get you ready, from identifying the specific skills required, to what yarn and needles/hooks you need.

I've been given a kit, can I make that?

Bring it in and we'll determine if you need to practice the basics before using your kit.

I can already knit/crochet. What if I want help with a specific project or technique?

Just give us a shout and let us know the issue. That way we can gather appropriate resources to assist you when you arrive.

What days and times are these sessions?

You get to book a date and time that suits you from the available time slots in our calendar.

Do I need to book a block of sessions?

Not at all. The beauty of these sessions is you get to decide when you want to attend. It’s a pay-as-you-go situation.

I'm not very good with technology. Do I have to book online?

It is easier to book online without going back and forth to find a suitable date and time, however feel free to contact us to arrange a booking. When you attend in person, we'll be happy to assist you in navigating the system to book your next session.

Can I pay on the day?

Absolutely, simply select "Pay in person" during checkout. We accept cash or card, whichever is easiest for you.
