Safety Rules

Here are a few top tips for having a good time in either your "Kids Knit"/"Young People Knit" class, Private Kids Craft Tuition, or Parent and Child Craft Tuition :-

• Arrive on time. If you arrive early, wait quietly outside until your teacher says you may come in.

• Don't run around, always walk.

• Keep your knitting needles pointing away from yourself and other people. Use them only for knitting.

• Avoid walking around with needles, hooks, scissors and other sharp or pointy equipment. If it's unavoidable, point them to the floor and walk carefully and slowly.

• Don't bring snacks or juice to the class unless you have permission from your teacher. You may bring a water bottle.

• Be polite and considerate. Remember to say please and thank you to your classmates and teacher.

• Keep your work area clear and tidy, returning items you're not using to their boxes. Keep things away from the edge of the table to avoid knocking them on the floor. Never leave sewing needles or pins loose on the table. Always put them back in their place when they aren't in use.

• If you're handing someone some scissors, a needle or other sharp item, always pass them the handles or blunt end

• Pay strict attention to what you're doing, especially when you're using a sharp object.
